Finding the right souvenir from a vacation isn't easy. I've got more cheesy shot glasses in my cabinet than I know what to do with (mostly thanks to my husband). Thankfully, hotels around the world are wising up. Prostor, a new concept store at
Hotel Lone in Rovinj, Croatia, sells select products from up-and-coming Croatian artists and designers. We're talking fashion and furniture, paintings and products - I've never been so excited to shop in a hotel "gift shop."

What's really cool about Prostor is that it gives local artists a fantastic platform for exposure. Featured items include

Hotel Lone's design is unique, too. The 248-room hotel has a Y-shaped structure and is built to resemble a sleep white ocean liner. It's a perfect complement to Rovinj's Adriatic coast location.
